Since 2007-2008, Sofia University has a foreign language department (in English) for the Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical School.

Medicine in Plovdiv - Plovdiv
General information about the University
Plovdiv (Plovdiv) is the second largest city in Bulgaria with about 350,000 inhabitants. Together with the surroundings, however, it reaches about 700,000 inhabitants.
It is considered one of the oldest cities in Europe, with finds from the Neolithic era, dating to 6000 BC.
Plovdiv was the European Capital of Culture for 2019.
The Medical University includes departments of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Department of Health Care, a Medical College (8 different specialties) and University Hospitals with a capacity of 2,000 beds.
Plovdiv Medical University was established in 1945 and became autonomous in 1950
In 2005 a new building was built with an area of approximately 15,000 sq.m., with 27 classrooms and 2 large amphitheaters. A new building with amphitheaters and conference rooms was built in 2011.
In 2013 the University was awarded the "Best University" award by the European Business Assembly at a Summit of Leaders "Science and Education" in Oxford,

Medicine In Stara Zagora In Bulgaria
The name Stara Zagora means in Slavic "old (city) beyond the mountains". In Byzantine times it was called Veroi, and for some time it was named Irinopolis, in honor of the Byzantine Empress Irene.
The good climatic conditions favored the creation of prehistoric settlements and for this reason tombs of the 6th century BC were found, as well as one of the best preserved in Europe, residence of the Neolithic era.
The city today has about 160,000 inhabitants.
The University of Stara Zagora was founded in 1995 and is called "Trakia Universtity"
Today it has about 9000 students.
The University has an English Department of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
